COUNSELING AND THERAPY CONCEPT
I trained in Gestalt Therapy, Psychoanalytical/Depth Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, EMDR Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I experienced therapy firsthand as part of my training.
My therapy concept is integrative and includes different therapy methods, but I work from a primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - oriented perspective that addresses dysfunctional thoughts, emotions and maladaptive behavior with special consideration of the specific needs and resources. Within this framework I like to offer Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP Therapy), in order to reduce and eliminate symptoms by teaching clients how to face their fears in a gentle, supportive therapeutic environment.
If you experienced a stress-related incident or trauma, I may use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR Therapy).
I have completed the Level 3 Practicum Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and I use Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my therapy work.
